Real Madrid set a price tag on Gareth Bale: Will the interested clubs loose hope after hearing the amount?

Real Madrid won their third successive Champions League title on Saturday after comfortably beating Liverpool with a scoreline of 3-1. And the hero of the match turned out to be Welshman Gareth Bale – a player who had failed to consolidate a first-team spot all throughout the 2017-18 season.

Bale scored two goals on the night – one a long ranger which turned out to be a goal thanks to Loris Karius’ error. And the other one was a superbly taken overhead kick.

Immediately after the match, multiple reports started flooding in that Gareth Bale will leave Real Madrid during the summer despite his heroics in Kiev.

Manchester United are now said to be in pole position to sign the Welshman while some reports have also claimed that Bale wants to rejoin his old club Tottenham Hotspur.

Chelsea have also been amongst the interested parties even though their interest does not seem to be as strong as the others.

But now as per a new report, Florentino Perez has named a transfer price for Gareth Bale and it stands at a staggering £200 million.

Yes, £200 million.

This asking rate for Bale is even more than what PSG ended up paying(£198 million) for Neymar.

A transfer price of £200 million immediately puts Tottenham Hotspur out of the race despite some sources claiming that Bale wanted to head back to White Hart Lane.

There is no way that Daniel Levy will be willing to pay that much for anyone.

Despite being the richest club in the world, Manchester United too will think hard before shelling out that big an amount for an injury prone 28-year-old.

Chelsea are said to be interested in signing Bale and before the 2017-18 season came to a close some reports had claimed that the Blues will be making a bid for the Welshman.

Now a £200 million price tag might seem a big deal but Chelsea have something that Real Madrid want desperately – Eden Hazard.

Zinedine Zidane has been a long-term admirer of the Belgian and the Blues could bring down the asking price for Gareth Bale significantly by making Eden Hazard part of the transfer deal.
