Jose Mourinho Spurs Premier League

Manchester City might have won the Premier League emphatically but Pep Guardiola still needs to sort out a couple of loopholes in his current squad. Similar Jose Mourinho is also in the market looking to buy some new players who will help him challenge United’s next-door-neighbour for the league title next season.

Both these teams are currently on the lookout for a new centre-back and if reports are to believed then they are after Inter Milan defender Milan Skriniar.

Skriniar joined Inter Milan in 2017 from Sampdoria for a transfer fee of 20 million euros. And in the single season that he has played with the Nerazzurri, Skriniar has managed to clock up 40 appearances in all competitions.

It is being reported that both Guardiola and Mourinho are highly impressed with the 23-year-old and want to bring him on board for the next campaign.

But Corriere Dello Sport are reporting that Inter Milan are not ready to part ways with Skriniar despite being in dire need of cash.

Inter have managed to qualify for the Champions League next season and they feel that Skriniar will play a crucial role in their side next season.

Jose Mourinho currently has a string of centre-backs amongst his ranks but a couple of them are expected to leave during the summer, paving the way for new signings.

The Man United boss is still on the lookout for a centre-back who can become the long-term partner to Eric Bailly after the failure of last summer signing Victor Lindelof.

Manchester City, on the other hand, are much more sorted in the defensive area and the biggest headache Pep Guardiola now has is to bring in a long-term replacement for the ageing Vincent Kompany.
