Chelsea take on Stoke City at Stamford Bridge on Saturday as the Blues line up for their third game within a span of 8 days.

Chelsea are currently third on the league table with 42 points and the title defence is out of the window. The Blues have won three of their past four games through all competitions and Conte will be hoping that his players can pick up all three points against Stoke at home making it a great end to the new year.

CHELSEA TEAM NEWS:

Christensen missed out the Boxing Day fixture due to illness as a result of which Gary Cahill had to fill in at central defence. But Christensen will be back in contention against Stoke meaning that club captain Gary Cahill will be on the substitutes bench.

The midfield will see the familiar duo of Kante and Fabregas while Bakayoko is expected to be rested against Stoke and Pedro will be recalled to the starting line-up.

The rest of the side will look similar to what Conte had named on Boxing Day as Eden Hazard and Alvaro Morata will lead the attacking line.

CHELSEA’S PREDICTED LINE-UP:

Goalkeeper: Courtois.

Defence: Rudiger, Christensen, Azpilicueta.

Midfield: Alonso, Kante, Fabregas, Moses.

Attack: Hazard, Morata, Pedro.
