England are set to take on Sweden in the quarterfinal of the World Cup on Saturday and before the game manager, Gareth Southgate might have a few selection headaches.

The Three Lions picked up a superb penalty shoot-out victory over Colombia in the Round of 16 but that win might have come at a cost.

As per the latest reports coming out of England’s World Cup base at Repino, Jamie Vardy, as well as Ashley Young, are major doubts for the game against Sweden.

Jamie Vardy came on as a late substitute during the Colombia game and he ended up picking a hamstring injury.

There have been no concrete reports are to whether the injury is serious but multiple sources have claimed that England will assess the injury on Friday and then make a decision.

Ashley Young limped off in extra-time during the Round of 16 clash and reports are claiming that the wing-back might have an ankle issue. He too might not feature on Saturday.

But apart from these two injury concerns, everything else looks good for Gareth Southgate as Harry Kane, Kyle Walker and Marcus Rashford have all been deemed fit to face Sweden.

Both Harry Kane and Walker suffered cramps during England’s win against Colombia but the medical staff have made it clear there is nothing to worry about and both of them are fit to take on Sweden.
