Chelsea have once again been linked with Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Adama Traore as Tuchel plans to bring in some fresh faces into his squad, according to The Athletic.
Liverpool have a long-standing interest in Traore and last week Football Insider had reported that West Ham United have also joined the race.
Football Insider had claimed: “West Ham have made an enquiry for Wolves star man Adama Traore, Football Insider can exclusively reveal.
“A West Ham source has told Football Insider that the club have registered their interest in Traore amid doubts over his Molineux future.”
Will Wolves be ready to sell Adama Traore?
In the summer of 2020, Adama Traore was one of the most sought after players in England but Wolves refused to part ways with him at that time.
But, over the course of the previous season, his performances have dipped massively which is why Wolves have softened their stance this time around.
Initially, Liverpool were running a one-horse race to sign the 25-year-old but now this entry of West Ham and Chelsea are bound to make things really interesting.
The winger has two more years left on his contract and is currently valued at £27 million. According to some rumours, Wolves are asking for around £35 million for his sale and this quotation is something which all the three interested clubs will be able to pay.
Who is most likely to sign Traore?
Ideally, a move to Liverpool or Chelsea will be a step up in Traore’s career since he will not only be able to play alongside the best of players but can also showcase his talent in the Champions League.
But, if he chooses to join either of these two sides, there’s no way he will be a guaranteed starter next season a position which he can very easily command at West Ham United.
A player like Adama Traore can become the first-choice right-winger at West Ham United next season and since the Hammers will be playing in the Europa League, his wish of playing in Europe will also be fulfilled.
