Tottenham Hotspur have been heavily linked with a move for Adama Traore and as per Cadena SER, the winger is now trying to force an exit before deadline day.

FourFourTwo cites the report: “Adama Traore is pushing for a move to Tottenham before the transfer window closes, according to reports.

“The Spain international is the subject of interest from Nuno Espirito Santo, his former manager at Wolves.

“Traore, for his part, is desperate to join Tottenham in the next 36 hours, according to Cadena SER.”

Will Spurs be able to sign Adama Traore?

Wolves boss Bruno Lage had recently suggested that even though deadline day transfers can be frantic but the club are confident of holding onto Adama Traore beyond the summer.

“When I was here before, my favourite day was to stay up watching TV on Deadline Day until 11pm to see what happens on the last day,” Wolves boss Bruno Lage told Sky Sports.

“Of course, we want to keep Adama. We are doing well, but we are few in number, we need more players. I don’t think about anyone leaving, I want to think about guys coming in.

“We need to be there, we need to be competitive. If we miss out on one player, at night everyone, me, the chairman, the fans, we go to sleep at night because we have another one to go for.”

This statement would surely have instilled some confidence amongst the Wolves fans but now that the 25-year-old is himself wanting to move out, it will be really difficult for Wolves to hold onto him.

Adama Traore has a price tag of around £34 million, something that Spurs should be able to afford and since their loan offer has already been rejected so Daniel Levy is supposedly working on a structured payment deal.

Wolves would love to hold onto Traore for one more year but if a good enough offer comes in from Spurs then the Molineux outfit should agree to let him leave.
