Manchester United and Manchester City have both entered the race to sign 24-year-old Adama Traore from Wolves, as per reports.
The winger has had a standout season at Molineux this year scoring four goals and providing seven assists in 28 Premier League matches so far. And current league leaders Liverpool FC have long been linked with the former Barcelona man.
But now as per Le10 Sport, the two Manchester clubs are planning to make a move for the 24-year-old, knowing fully well that the Anfield outfit remain highly interested in signing him.
The report claims: “As revealed exclusively by le10sport.com, Adama Traoré, a revelation of the season in the Premier League, arouses the interest of many English clubs and not the least. Manchester City, Liverpool and Manchester United are already positioned on this file, while Bayern Munich also has a shot to play.Â
“According to our information, the Portuguese agent, very established in Wolverhampton, would have taken in hand this transfer, just like that of Ruben Neves of which he is the representative”
Will Liverpool miss out on Adama Traore?
Adama Traore has been tipped to move out of Wolves this summer with some rumours claiming that Nuno Espirito Santo will need to sell some of his best players in order to gather transfer funds.
If this bit of news if true then United, City and Liverpool have a really bright chance of signing the winger in the coming few months.
But at the same time, Jurgen Klopp will be an utterly nervous man since he’s already lost out on Timo Werner and he just cannot afford to miss out on Adama Traore as well.
Traore still has three years left on his current deal and Wolves could demand around £75 million for the winger. And while this is indeed a steep price but all the three interested clubs are more than capable of shelling out such a massive amount.
Some pundits think the Liverpool management will not be too eager to spend too much money this summer but if Man United and Man City are really engrossed in Adama Traore then all their resolutions will surely be thrown out of the window.
