Premier League side Arsenal have been deemed as the favourites to sign midfielder Adrien Rabiot from Juventus at the end of the 2019-20 season.
Sports Mole claims: “Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot is reportedly open to joining Arsenal this summer.
“Juve are said to be determined to sell Rabiot this summer, and according to L’Equipe, he would be open to moving to the Emirates Stadium ahead of the 2020-21 campaign.”
But this joy seems to have been really short-lived for the Gunners management as league rivals Everton might well have stolen a march over them in this transfer race
As per Juve FC: “Adrien Rabiot is keen on joining Everton this summer according to reports in France.
“The French midfielder has turned in some lacklustre performances during his time in Turin while reports in recent weeks suggest he has upset Juve management by taking longer than his teammates to return to Italy.
“According to L’Equipe, the 25-year-old has been offered to Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal as well as part of a potential exchange deal involving Jorginho and Paul Pogba.”
Will Everton be able to snatch Adrien Rabiot?
As per TransferMarkt, Adrien Rabiot is currently valued at €25.5 million which is a really alluring price for both the Premier League clubs despite the current financial scenario.
Everton FC do have money to spare in the market so clearly they will not be bullied out of this transfer race by Arsenal or any other interested club.
But we think, securing a Champions League spot will be really important in order to lure in Adrien Rabiot and this is where the Toffees might be a bit on the backup.
Everton will not be finishing in the top four this season but Arsenal still have a fighting chance to return back into Europe’s elite next campaign.
But there’s a big buzz in the football circuit that Carlo Ancelotti might have a big say in this whole transfer battle since as per some reports, the player is keen to work under the Everton manager at Goodison Park. And if this is true then Arsenal might have no other option but to shift their focus onto some other player.
