Alisson Becker Liverpool news
Alisson Becker - Liverpool

Liverpool FC take on Fulham in an away encounter in the Premier League and as hinted by Jurgen Klopp, keeper Alisson Becker could be fit to play in this game.

Alisson Becker has been recovering from a small hamstring injury and according to the Liverpool boss, the Brazilian could be back in goal when they visit Craven Cottage on Sunday.

The manager said in his press conference: “Ali will train today, that’s what I’ve heard.

“I came in and came directly to the press [conference] so all the meetings are after that and yes, Ali will train and if he trains and all fine, then he can play.”

While Alisson Becker could return to action during the weekend the trio of Thiago, James Milner and Shaqiri remain sidelined with respective injuries and will not be fit to play any part against Fulham.

Summer signing Diogo Jota is also recovering from a knock and will have to go through a late fitness test in order to determine his availability.

The manager added: “Diogo we have to see – he got a knock as well. That’s it from the game, I think.

“Apart from that, Oxlade is in normal training. He has been doing parts of training now for a week or so, he is now in full training and we will see.”

The return of Alisson Becker will undoubtedly be a huge boost for Jurgen Klopp since the manager has had to deal with a plethora of injuries over the past couple of months.

Fulham have won just two out of their last five Premier League matches and they currently sit 17th of the league table so we would image that picking up all three points should not be an issue for Liverpool, even without the likes of Alisson or Diogo Jota.
