Alvaro Morata
Alvaro Morata playing for Chelsea

Alvaro Morata does not look like the striker that Maurizio Sarri would want for a very long time and already there are whispers that the Spaniard could be heading out.

Morata was supposed to be the main front man for the Blues but last season he failed miserably under Antonio Conte.

But given how poorly the whole team performed everyone was ready to forgive him and expect that his season would be better especially under new manager Maurizio Sarri.

Things though have not improved very much as Sarri is still not sure as to who his first choice striker is – Alvaro Morata or Olivier Giroud.

Morata has so far played 21 games for Chelsea having scored only seven goals out of which five have come in the Premier League.

And now reports are suggested, Sarri is planning to reunite with Gonzalo Higuain.

Gianluca Di Marzio claims that Sarri and Higuain share a very special relationship and the Italian is pulling all the strings to bring the forward to Stamford Bridge.

And reportedly, the Chelsea manager is also ready to offer Alvaro Morata in a swap deal.

Higuain currently plays for AC Milan and the forward has racked up seven goals and three assists in 17 games.

While Sarri has maintained that he is not thinking about bringing in a new striker right this moment but everyone knows for a fact that at some point of time the manager will have to find a replacement for Alvaro Morata.

Now whether that replacement will come in next month or next summer that remains to be seen.
