Has Antonio Conte Officially Started The Mind Games Before Next Weekend’s Clash vs Man Utd?

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has decided to take a sly dig at Manchester United and Jose Mourinho by saying that his club’s game against Roma in midweek holds much more importance as compared to next weekend’s clash vs Manchester United.

Chelsea are scheduled to take on AS Roma on Tuesday night in the Champions League and Conte is expected to make a couple of changes to his starting XI. But while everyone was thinking that the Italian will have one eye on next weekend’s match against United, the Blues manager has rubbished all such claims.

While speaking to the press, Conte said that his complete focus as of now will be on the Roma game as he desperately wants to come back from Italy with atleast one point.

“There are two big games before the international break against Roma tomorrow and United on Sunday,” Conte said.

“The most important thing is to go game by game.

“Tomorrow is the most important game.

“We have to try to put all our game in the right result. Then we prepare for another tough game in the league.”

This clearly indicates that the Premier League title defence will take a back seat up until the game against Roma is over. So we can very well predict that Conte will not try and rest any of his big game players and will put out his strongest XI at the Stadio Olimpico.

Next move -> Mourinho.
