Spurs take on Brighton and Hove Albion in the Premier League on Saturday and their manager Antonio Conte might be an absentee for this tie.

The Tottenham boss has tested positive for COVID and as per reports, the Italian is currently isolating. Conte supposedly picked up the virus around the Aston Villa game last weekend.

But all is not bad news because as per football london,(cited by Fotmob) Spurs expect their manager to test negative before the Brighton game and take his place in the dugout.

Will Spurs’ play be affected if Antonio Conte is missing from the dugout?

Spurs have been in exceptional form during the previous few weeks and much of that is because of Antonio Conte’s sharp tactics.

The Italian is a shrewd tactician and his ability to swiftly change things on the pitch is a key ability that will be missing if he is not sitting in the dugout this weekend.

As of now, Thursday’s press conference which was supposed to be held in person has been shifted to Zoom but the Lilywhites are confident that Antonio Conte is going to test negative before Saturday.

The manager is reported as ‘symptom-free’ and is in good health and we will know more about his progress during the pre-match press conference.

Tottenham are currently fourth on the Premier League table and right now, they have a fairly winnable couple of matches. After Brighton, they take on Brentford and Leicester City and then they head to Anfield to face Liverpool right before an absolutely vital North London derby.
