After beating Barnsley 6-0 in the EFL Cup, Chelsea are back in the Premier League this weekend as they take on West Bromwich Albion, away from home.

So far the Blues have played two matches in the league and their previous one was an embarrassing 2-0 loss at the hands of Liverpool at the Bridge.

On the other hand, the Baggies are yet to pick up a point during the current season but some pundits think they might be able to make the evening miserable for the Blues.

Michael Owen though clearly thinks otherwise and while predicting the outcome of the match he has claimed that Chelsea should be able to cruise through this one.

He wrote for BetVictor: “With heavy defeats against Leicester and Everton in their opening two games, there’s no respite for newly promoted West Brom.

“Chelsea are the visitors to the Hawthorns this weekend and manager Slaven Bilic will be hoping that the signing of ex-Chelsea veteran, Branislav Ivanovic, can help shore up a defence that has already conceded 8 Premier League goals in their first two games.

“Frank Lampard will have been disappointed with his team’s lacklustre display against Liverpool on Sunday when they were well beaten in a 2-0 defeat at Stamford Bridge.

“It may take some time for him to bed in all his new signings but he will be demanding a much improved performance against the Baggies and I fancy a comfortable 3-0 win for the Blues.”

We can’t help but agree with Owen on this one since Frank Lampard’s side just have too much firepower in their squad as compared to the home side.

Also, West Brom have suffered heavy defeats during their opening two matches so Slaven Bilic will undoubtedly be wanting to avoid a third straight loss. And we have a feeling the manager might just overcook things and serve the three points to Chelsea on a plate.
