Newcastle United have been the frontrunners in signing Jesse Lingard so far but according to MEN, teams like Leicester City and Aston Villa are also monitoring the situation.

Lingard is desperate to move out of United, to get game time but Manchester United are demanding a substantial loan package to allow the 29-year-old to head to St James’ Park for the second half of the season.

As per MEN’s report, Jesse Lingard’s wish to move out is known by many clubs and teams like Leicester City and Aston Villa could try and make a late move to bring the England international on board.

Will teams like Leicester City or Aston Villa turn out as favourites?

The Manchester Evening News is claiming that United have demanded a package of £15million to let Jesse Lingard join the Magpies on loan and this is proving to be the major stumbling block for Newcastle United.

Personal terms have never been an issue and Lingard is very eager to play for Newcastle as well. But Man United want a survival bonus should Newcastle manage to avoid relegation.

As per the experts, the Magpies are still trying to pull this one through but with only a few days left in the transfer window, they could be forced to scout their other options.

This will be great news for teams like Leicester City and Aston Villa since they are more than capable of paying the demanded sum and their loan agreement will also not include a survival bonus.

We can very much see a team like Leicester City or Villa making a last-ditch effort to sign Jesse Lingard.

Will West Ham United try a coup?

In a recent interview, West Ham’s assistant manager had revealed that they are trying to sign Jesse Lingard this month as well and since then many reports have started linking the Hammers with the Man United misfit.

Lingard is very much familiar with life at West Ham but there’s very little chance that Rangnick will allow him to join the London outfit. West Ham are directly competing with United for a top-four spot so the last thing Rangnick will want is to hand Moyes such a talented player.

If Newcastle United back out then Manchester United will be more than happy to let Jesse Lingard join a club like Leicester City or Aston Villa rather than sending him to West Ham.
