Man United beat FC Copenhagen 1-0 in the quarter-finals of the Europa League on Monday in Germany meaning they will take on the winners of the Wolves vs Sevilla match next weekend.

While the Red Devils did manage to pull this one through but the Danish side certainly did not make life easy for the English outfit. And if this test was not stern enough, the weather in Germany has been energy-sapping.

The temperatures on Monday evening were hovering around 32 degrees celsius and close to half-a-dozen players went down with cramps during the match.

Along with the harsh weather conditions, the training facilities in Germany have also not been world-class which seems to be causing Manchester United a fair bit of discomfort.

But while speaking about these issues, the Man United was quick to point out that despite all the gaps, every other team is adjusting to the same conditions, thereby making this an even playing field.

The manager said after the match, as reported: “We’ll have to watch [the Wolves game] on telly and of course, the facilities are not the same as we’re used to. But that’s no excuse. I think every team has got the same conditions.

“Of course we’re used to having the best facilities around in the world for recovery and preparation. We just have to make the most out of a difficult situation in conditions that are really hot and humid.

“What time do we train? Especially tonight when we have played late so it will be a strange one tomorrow morning for some of them because they probably won’t sleep for a few hours.

“But we’ve got six days and there are not many times that we’ve got six days to prepare for a game.”

Man United will play in the semi-final once again at the RheinEnergieSTADION in Cologne next Sunday and as per the weather forecast, temperatures that day will also be just above the 30 degrees mark.
