Liverpool have ramped up their interest in Real Madrid’s Aurelien Tchouameni and there’s a chance that the Anfield outfit might be able to get their hands on the midfielder.

Aurelien Tchouameni joined Madrid from AS Monaco in 2022 for a transfer fee of €80 million and in these two years, the French international has featured in 97 games for the club. His current contract with Los Blancos runs until 2028 but as per a report in Fichajes, Madrid are ready to listen to offers for the 24-year-old.

Liverpool had a very quiet transfer window but that will not be the case next year because the Anfield outfit are preparing a mega bid for the central midfielder who is currently valued at €100 million. Gravenberch and Mac Allister have done a fine job this season but Arne Slot will definitely need an upgrade if he wants to compete with the big boys of Europe.

However, since Aurelien Tchouameni still has four years remaining on his contract, the Premier League giants must be ready to spend around €100-120 million.

Are Madrid right in trying to cash in on Aurelien Tchouameni?

Carlo Ancelotti has Aurelien Tchouameni, Camavinga, Luka Modric and Dani Ceballos all of whom can play in the defensive/central midfield roles and Madrid are also being heavily linked with Martin Zubimendi.

It’s being claimed that Zubimendi has his heart set on joining Real Madrid and if Los Blancos can bring in the Sociedad midfielder then they won’t mind cashing in on Tchouameni.

Aurelien Tchouameni is a fine talent who is just 24 years old but time and again, Madrid have made it clear that they are ready to sell even their most valuable players, for the right fee.

The Bernabeu outfit are in no hurry to offload the French midfielder and only if Liverpool can table an offer well in excess of €100 million will Florentino Perez be ready to sell Tchouameni.

Despite their recent success, Liverpool have not been crazy spenders in the transfer market and it is very hard to imagine the club’s owners spending so much money on a single player next season. In the past, they have made expensive signings like Van Dijk and Alisson Becker but paying around €120 million for Aurelien Tchouameni will be a major decision.
