West Ham United are inching closer to signing 20-year-old striker Armando Broja from Chelsea, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The Hammers have been chasing the youngster for a couple of weeks and now finally they have made some progress. Moyes is interested in signing Broja on a permanent transfer but it remains to be seen if Chelsea are ready to cash in on him or will they only agree to a loan spell.

Romano wrote on Twitter: “West Ham are now close to signing Armando Broja. Talks progressing with Chelsea, West Ham insist for permanent deal after official offer submitted but it’s up to Chelsea.

“Broja has agreed personal terms with West Ham – all parties are getting closer.”

A great signing for West Ham United:

The Hammers are in desperate need of a new striker and they have been linked with a host of players this summer.

West Ham United are said to be looking at forwards like Ivan Toney, Scamacca and Broja but it seems like they have finally gotten their hands on one of them.

Broja might have scored only six league goals last season for the Saints but he’s brimming with talent and we think he can perform wonderfully well alongside someone like Michail Antonio.

The London side will be playing in the Conference League so Armando Broja will get a lot of chances to prove himself to David Moyes this season.

Should Chelsea cash in on Armando Broja?

It’s pretty evident that Armando Broja does not feature in Tuchel’s immediate plans which is why the manager is ready to let him leave and there’s every chance that Chelsea will send him out permanently.

Tuchel is revamping his forward line so it makes sense to send out all the deawood so that there’s room for the new arrivals to slot in. Also, as per the new FIFA rules, only 6 players per club can be loaned out during the course of a season.

In a major update, Fabrizio Romano has made it clear that the Hammers will be signing Armando Broja in a permanent deal and the forward is also pushing for a move.

He wrote: “West Ham and Chelsea are still in talks on final details of the deal like potential buy back clause or not, add ons… but the agreement for Armando Broja is really close and it will be permanent deal.

“Broja is now pushing, that’s why he’s flying back to England.”
