Arsenal will lose Eddie Nketiah and Lacazette at the end of the season and as per pundit Noel Whelan, the Gunners should be able to get their hands on Everton’s Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

Everton are battling relegation but even if they survive, there’s a big chance that Dominic Calvert-Lewin will head for greener pastures. The Gunners have been chasing him for a few months now and Noel believes the England international is not the only forward on Arsenal’s radar.

He tells Football Insider: “I think a deal is going to be done. £42million is not a bad offer from Arsenal. That’s really showing their intent.

“They need to get two strikers, if not three. Two for sure.

“He definitely fits the bill of how Arteta wants to play. His work rate is phenomenal, he’s proven that he can score goals when he’s inside the 18-yard box.

“I think he will complement the way they play. I think that deal could be a done deal, along with maybe Calvert-Lewin as well from Everton.”

Are Arsenal serious about signing Dominic Calvert-Lewin?

When Laca and Nkeitah leave, Arsenal will not be left with any major striking options so it’s no secret that the club are trying so hard to get their hands on DCL. Arteta has expressed his desire to hold onto Nketiah but we doubt if the youngster will sign a new deal.

Everton’s poor form will make it really easy for them to try and sign the 25-year-old and if the Toffees are relegated then there’s no way Dominic Calvert-Lewin will agree to go down with them.

Amidst all targets that Arsenal are chasing right now, Calvert-Lewin will be the easiest one because even the player has shown signs of discontent at Everton and is ready to leave in the summer.

Lampard has made it clear that DCL is not up for sale but we highly doubt if the club will be able to hold onto him.

Which are centre-forwards are Arsenal chasing?

Apart from the Everton man, Arsenal are also chasing Man City’s Gabriel Jesus and there’s a good enough chance that the Gunners will also be able to sign the Man City man.

As Noel Whelan has said, Arsenal are chasing multiple strikers for the upcoming season so it’s a very logical assumption that Mikel Arteta is trying to sign both Calvert-Lewin as well as Gabriel Jesus.

The North London side have also been linked with Benfica’s Darwin Nunez but they won’t be able to beat Manchester United in this particular transfer race.
