Arsenal still hold an interest in PSG left-back Layvin Kurzawa – as per the latest reports.

Last month various rumours had suggested that the Gunners are looking into Layvin Kurzawa and Mikel Arteta might just sanction a move for the 27-year-old.

But ultimately the deal did not materialize and the defender has remained back at PSG for the remainder of the season.

Now though it looks like Arsenal still maintain an interest in the player and could come back for him at the end of the season along with Serie A giants Juventus.

Arsenal’s technical director Edu is keen on signing him but if sources are to be believed then it was Arteta who did not want to sign the defender.

And the manager might once again block the move during the summer transfer window – and for good reason too.

The Gunners brought in young Kieran Tierney from Celtic last summer but the player is right now on the sidelines with a dislocated shoulder.

This means Sead Kolasinac is the only recognised left-back while Bukayo Saka has also been filling up that space. So naturally, under the current scenario, the signing of Layvin Kurzawa might look like a good bit of business.

But once Tierney returns back there would be no need for another left-back so it would be a waste of space if the Gunners chose to sign Layvin Kurzawa for the upcoming season.
