Arsenal have so far made three signings this summer and barring one of them, the Gunners have managed to pull out nothing special.

They have signed Ben White in a massive deal and then they have brought in Albert Sambi Lokonga and Nuno Tavares, both of whom are not expected to make massive impacts next season.

And while the Arsenal fans seem disgruntled on various social media platforms, manager Mikel Arteta has now given a ray of hope stating that they are still looking to bring in some fresh faces before deadline day.

“Anything is possible and there are still a lot of things to be done and a lot of clubs involved,” he said on Thursday, as quoted by Europsport.

“You can see that the ball starts to roll at a different speed in the last week or so.

“It’s been a really difficult transfer window and probably a lot of things will happen in the last week or so.

“It’s how deals develop and sometimes something that is not possible to do on the 12th of August is possible to do on the last day. Whether you are happy bringing the player in or not I think is more important.

“We identified what we wanted to do and how we can strengthen our team short, medium and long term, and what we needed to achieve that.

“We defined the profile of player that suits the model that we have at the moment at the club that can sustain our financial position, and we made three movements in relation to that.”

New signings arriving for Arsenal?

Arsenal have a lot of rebuilding to do and to be honest it will take a few transfer windows to repair all the damage that has been done in the past few years.

The North London side continue to be linked with players like Tammy Abraham, James Maddison and Aaron Ramsdale but none of these reports have turned into anything concrete yet.

The club have failed to secure a European spot this season which is one of the big reasons why they are failing to attract the big stars or they are being quoted absurd prices.

Mikel Arteta is badly in need of some reinforcements and while they should be able to sign one or two players before deadline day but we doubt if these are going to be for the right areas of the pitch.
