Arsenal will play their final Premier League match of the season this Sunday following which they have only one match left – the FA Cup final against Chelsea.

This means that the summer transfer window is also around the corner and all eyes with be on the Arsenal management to see how they respond to missing out on the top-six.

There’s a big chance that Arsenal might not be able to qualify for the Europa League as well which is a big financial blow for a club like them and if this happens then there’s a massive chance that Mikel Arteta will be given a very limited transfer budget.

Without European football and a small budget, it will be virtually impossible for the Gunners boss to bring in big signings for the 2020-21 season but Arteta has hinted that the hierarchy are in sync with his plans and they are willing to spend money in the summer.

“I am encouraged that we are on the same page and that we are going to try to do our best to evolve the team,” he told Sky Sports.

“First of all the players we already have here, if there is anything extra to help them more and give them a better environment, and then, if we go into the market and we have to do things, to decide which ones to do and how quickly we can do them.

“We are completely ready for that, and I also have a really good understanding with [technical director] Edu. We have been working together very closely to put together a plan that we are convinced can be successful.

“But also, it’s important to have all the information you need from the team that you have, from the players, from everything.

“That took some time as well.”

This is great news for all the Arsenal fans since a number of big-name players are being constantly linked with the club but if Arteta cannot get funding, there’s no way the club will be able to lure them in.

With players like Ozil and Guendouzi expected to leave, the Arsenal manager will need to bring in a couple of midfielders in the summer and at the same time, he has to ensure that players like Aubameyang and Lacazette do not look to head out.

But before the manager can dive into the market, he will have to ensure that his side beat Chelsea in the FA Cup and secure a place in the Europa League next season.
