Kieran Tierney is expected to leave Parkhead this summer and Arsenal seem to be his next destination.

The Gunners have already seen a bid of their rejected by the Bhoys as it fell short of what Neil Lennon’s side have been demanding for the youngster.

The first offer was in the region of £15 million but Celtic are said to be holding on for £25 million.

On Monday several publications have claimed that Arsenal have made a second offer for Kieran Tierney and this time they are willing to shell out £20 million for the left-back.

While this still falls short of the price tag but some experts claim that Celtic will budge this time around and will sanction Tierney’s move the Emirates in the coming few weeks.

But former Bhoys keeper Pat Bonner has seriously questioned the move citing reasons that Arsenal aren’t a big enough club for the youngster.

He told BBC Sport(as reported): “If Kieran was playing in England, he’d probably be worth about £50m.

“But because it’s Scotland, I would think £25m would be a price you’d start talking about, with add-ons.

“He’s got the ability to go into a club like Arsenal. Whether Arsenal is a big enough club for Kieran Tierney, that’s the question.

“If you were picking out a player in British football at the moment that can play left-back, himself and [Liverpool’s Scotland captain] Andy Robertson are the best two in Britain, if not Europe.”

One point that we completely agree with is the fact that if Tierney would have been English his transfer rate would have been much higher.

But the fact that Arsenal aren’t a big enough club might just be an exaggeration given the fact that no other major English club have been linked with the left-back this summer.

Apart from Arsenal the only other club which have shown a serious interest in signing him are Leicester City which is currently being managed by former Bhoys boss Brendan Rodgers.

And making a move to Arsenal would any day be a better decision than to join the Foxes(with all due respect).
