Arsenal are set to lose Aaron Ramsey to Juventus during the summer transfer window and now it looks like they might also have to part ways with Granit Xhaka.

Xhaka joined the Gunners back in 2016 and this season under Unai Emery the midfielder has turned out to become an influential figure.

The player’s current deal expires in 2023 and already there have been talks about offering him a new extension given his importance under Emery has risen during the course of the season.

But last month, Granit Xhaka dropped a bombshell claiming that he might very well be on his way out of the club sometime in the near future.

“I’m very ambitious,” Xhaka told Tagblatt(as reported).

“I want to take the next step. Arsenal does not have to be the last stop.”

During the current season, Granit Xhaka has made 25 league appearances for the Gunners – scoring four goals and providing one assist. But right now he is on the sidelines recovering from a groin injury.

His performances this campaign have really been noteworthy and if reports are to be believed then Serie A side Inter Milan are planning to make a move for him at the end of the season.

Inter want to make a couple of signing during the summer and it looks like Granit Xhaka might just be one of them. But there is a slight issue.

While the Italian have the money to splurge on Granit Xhaka but they do admit that getting Arsenal to agree to a deal will be very difficult more so since Aaron Ramsey is set to leave for Juve.

Once Aaron Ramsey leaves, Granit Xhaka will be the only experienced midfielder that Emery will have left and the Spanish boss will surely not want to get rid of him too.

But then there is that another angle.

Arsenal are set to give their manager a very small transfer budget which means in order to get his desired players Emery will have to bank on selling some players from his current lot.

And Inter believe that if they can offer the right price then the Arsenal boss might just be tempted to let go of Granit Xhaka.
