Premier League sides Arsenal and Liverpool are interested in signing RB Salzburg forward Patson Daka during the ongoing transfer window, according to Far Post.

The report claims: ” English Premier League clubs Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester United are amongst the clubs vying for his signature with Liverpool the prime favourites to sign the 21-year-old.

“Daka made a statement to Jurgen Klopp when he scored a brace last Tuesday in Salzburg’s 2-2 draw with Liverpool which might have been the game that will push Liverpool’s pursuit of the striker.

“In France, Marseille, Lille and Lyon are also interested in the striker while in Germany, RB Leipzig are also looking to make him Timo Werner’s replacement after the striker left for Chelsea this winter.”

Will Patson Daka join Arsenal or Liverpool?

Patson Daka scored 24 goals in 31 league matches for Salzburg during the 2019-20 season and apart from playing as the centre-forward, the 21-year-old also has the ability to operate on either wing.

And while both Liverpool and Arsenal are looking to add backups to their forward line before the new season begins but their interest in Daka is still relatively fresh.

The Zambian international still has four years left on his current deal with the club meaning Salzburg are in no hurry to part ways with the striker.

Also, with so many big European clubs interested in him, the Austrian side would surely want to milk this transfer in order to squeeze out as much money as possible.

TransferMarkt currently values Patson Daka at £18 million but with the kind of performances he put in last season, RB Salzburg would want to sell him for at least double of his current market worth.
