According to the latest reports, both Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are planning a late bid for Everton’s Ross Barkley.

The 23-year-old is out of contract next season and Toffees boss Ronald Koeman has said that Barkley has refused to put pen to paper on a new deal – meaning that he is on his way out of the club.

Barkley has been the subject of interest from a series of Premier League clubs. Chelsea recently saw a bid of their’s being rejected as it fell short of Everton’s asking price(£30m). Chelsea bid was reportedly around the £25 million mark.

And now the Blues could face some stiff competition from two of their London rivals in the deal of Ross Barkley.

As per the news, both Spurs and Arsenal are considering a late move for the English International who is currently sidelined with an injury. Arsenal might very well loose Alexis Sanchez to Manchester City and Wenger is probably looking at Barkley as an ideal replacement. While Spurs, on the other hand, want to add a bit of depth to their squad.

Pochettino’s side was initially thought to be the frontrunners in signing Barkley but then Daniel Levy backed out as he felt that Spurs were quoting too much for a player who is currently injured.

Tottenham are also planning to sign Fernando Llorente from Chelsea – another Chelsea target.
