Arsenal are expected to lose Bernd Leno in the summer and according to GOAL Brazil, the Gunners might look to replace him with Barcelona’s Neto Murara.
Leno has fallen down the pecking order after Ramsdale’s arrival and it’s being claimed that an £8.5million move to Benfica is just a matter of time for the backup keeper.
Benfica’s new manager Roger Schmidt worked with the German goalkeeper during their time together at Bayer Leverkusen so he is very eager to bring him to Benfica as well.
Will Arsenal make an official move for Neto?
The Gunners are also keen on signing MLS keeper Matt Turner but we can understand why they are keeping a tab on the Neto situation.
The 32-year-old has a year left on his current deal but Barcelona have plans to offload him in order to balance their books.
There’s no way Neto will be able to take over the No 1 spot from Aaron Ramsdale but he’s played more than 200 games since moving to Europe from Brazil so he can be the perfect backup keeper.
Neto has played only 21 games in the three seasons he’s been with Barcelona but at Arsenal, he will be able to get a bit more game time, especially in the earlier rounds of the League Cup and the FA Cup.
Neto Murara has decided to leave Barcelona this summer.

Arsenal are probably waiting for Barcelona to make a final call and also for Leno to secure an exit and once these two things are confirmed, we expect the Gunners to make a formal move for the Brazilian keeper.
Do Arsenal need to spend money on a backup keeper?
Yes, Arsenal have to focus on the bigger issues on hand but these types of signings also need to be dealt with in the background.
One major injury to Ramsdale and Arsenal’s season could be in tatters so they need to bring in one or maybe two backup keepers.
The North London side are expected to attack all fronts next season and for that Mikel Arteta needs to have a big squad. He did manage to scrape through with minimum players this time around but Arsenal won’t be lucky every time.
