Arsenal absolutely thrashed Everton in their final game of the season but despite that, they have fallen short of securing a Champions League spot.

As Arsenal were winning 5-1, Spurs, on the other hand, managed to secure a win against Norwich City, thereby finishing fourth on the Premier League table.

The Gunners will have only themselves to blame for not securing a UCL spot because they have had several lapses all throughout the season, losing as many as 13 league matches out of the 38 they have played.

Having said that, Mikel Arteta will get a lot of hope after seeing his side dismantle Everton, more so since they looked in all sorts of trouble at the start of the campaign. In their first four league matches, Arsenal had conceded as many as nine goals.

Arsenal players ratings vs Everton:

Ramsdale: 6.5/10

The keeper failed to keep a clean sheet and it will be a personal hindrance in an otherwise solid team performance.

Rob Holding: 7.2/10

Holding played in place of Ben White and managed two clearances, along with six recoveries.

Gabriel: 8/10

The other centre-back put his name on the scoresheet, scoring the fourth goal for Arsenal.

Nuno Tavares: 6.5/10

Tavares is clearly not going to topple Keiran Tierney any time soon as he had another average outing. As soon as Tierney returns, Tavares will move down the pecking order.

Cedric: 8.9/10

The right-back was a threat every time he moved forward and was rewarded with a goal and an assist.

Granit Xhaka: 6.7/10

Xhaka had a go at his teammates after Arsenal’s last defeat but the midfielder himself had a muted outing on Sunday. He was lively but didn’t do anything outstanding.

Elneny: 7.3/10

He has done really well in Thomas Partey’s absence and on Sunday, the Arsenal midfielder blocked one shot and made six recoveries.

Martinelli: 8.8/10

The Brazilian was brilliant, scoring the from the spot and then providing an assist for Nketiah’s goal.

Martin Odegaard: 8.6/10

The Norwegian is now officially the No 10 for Arsenal and provided an assist on Sunday.

Bukayo Saka: 7.8/10

The England international had an assist and had three shots on target during the 78th minute of the match.

Nketiah: 7.8/10

The youngster has come to life in the previous few weeks and he found the back of the net against Everton as well.

Arsenal substitutes:

Lokonga: 6.5/10

He got some minutes under his belt as he replaced Granit Xhaka in the 63rd minute.

Lacazette: 5.6/10

The Frenchman is likely to leave in the coming months but he had an average outing in what was possibly his last match for Arsenal.

Nicolas Pepe: 7.2/10

Pepe is another player who could leave in the summer but the 26-year-old at least provided an assist.
