Arsenal suffered a massive setback in the quest for their Premier League title as they went down 1-0 to relegation-battling Everton.

The loss would have been a big problem for the Gunners but thankfully, Man City also lost at the weekend which means Arsenal still maintain their five-point lead at the top of the table with a game in hand.

In their next match game, Arsenal will take on Brentford at the Emirates Stadium and the Bees have what it takes to dismantle Mikel Arteta’s plans.

Arsenal have lost their last two games(the loss to City in the FA Cup and then vs Everton) whereas Brentford have managed to keep a clean sheet in their previous three outings. The North London side are still very much the favourites to win on Saturday but the away side are undefeated in their last 9 matches in the Premier League so an upset is very much on the cards.

Arsenal’s team news and injuries:

The manager has only a handful of injuries which is a very good sign because he is working with a very small squad this season.

Arteta has backup players like Kieran Tierney and Tomiyasu but the backline will see no changes this coming weekend.

Elneny and Emile Smith Rowe are both ruled out with injuries and neither of them is expected to return this month.

Jorginho came off the bench against Everton and he is in line to get his first start for Arsenal but since they lost last weekend, we think the manager will put his faith in the tried and tested pairing of Xhaka and Thomas Partey in the middle of the park.

Gabriel Jesus is ruled out until mid-March so Eddie Nketiah will keep leading the line with Martinelli and Bukayo Saka playing down the wing.

Leandro Trossard is yet to find a regular place in the starting line up at Arsenal so he will once again start on the bench and hopefully make an appearance during the second half.

Arsenal predicted line up vs Brentford:

Predicted Starting Line up(4-3-3): Ramsdale; White, Zinchenko, Gabriel, William Saliba; Thomas Partey, Xhaka, Odegaard; Bukayo Saka, Nketiah, Martinelli.
