Mesut Ozil Arsenal news

Arsenal have so far drawn 12 games in the Premier League meaning they will be desperate to pick up a win when they take on Burnley this weekend at Turf Moor.

The Gunners have won their last 11 matches against Burnley in all competitions but right now both teams are tied on 30 points meaning if Arsenal cannot pick up a win then they could slide down even further on the table.

Arsenal have drawn their last three league matches but the fans are surely appreciating what new manager Mikel Arteta has been trying to do at the club ever since taking over.

On Sunday, Arteta will get back both David Luiz and Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang which should see them through in the match but having said that, Burnley will surely have their tails up given they beat Manchester United in their previous outing.

Arsenal team news vs Burnley:

David Luiz will be back from suspension and the player should replace Shkodran Mustafi who seems to be injured.

This means Luiz will partner Sokratis in central defence while Bukayo Saka once again plays as a make-shift left-back.

Some reports claim Sead Kolasinac could return back to feature at Turf Moor but that call will only be taken before the match kicks off.

Against Bournemouth in the FA Cup, Granit Xhaka was partnered by Matteo Guendouzi in central midfield but on Sunday, the Frenchman should make way for Lucas Torreira.

Joe Willock got to start vs the Cherries but the youngster will move to the bench as Mesut Ozil returns back to the starting line-up at Turf Moor.

Nicolas Pepe is finally starting to show his form for Arsenal and the summer signing will surely reprise his role on the right flank.

Gabriel Martinelli has been stellar in the absence of Aubameyang and we feel the youngster will have the backing of the Arsenal manager on Sunday as well.

Aubameyang Arsenal

So with Auba returning back to action and Martinelli keep his place on the left-hand side of the pitch, Lacazette might once again start on the bench just like he did for the FA Cup clash.

Arsenal’s predicted XI vs Burnley:

Starting XI: Bernd Leno; David Luiz, Sokratis, Hector Bellerin, Bukayo Saka; Granit Xhaka, Torreira, Mesut Ozil; Pepe, Martinelli, Aubameyang.
