Arsenal are in a dismal state right now and it was more aggravated last weekend when the Gunners went down 3-0 to Manchester City in the Premier League.

Everyone knew that City would come out as winners in this game but they had also predicted the North London outfit to put up a fight after going through a series of defeats and draws.

In the end though, the away side ripped apart Arsenal and more or less wrapped up the fixture within the first 45 minutes itself.

Next up, they take on Everton in the Premier League and no many people are expecting any major miracles from the Gunners – more so since they will be playing away from home on Saturday.

Arsenal news vs Everton:

The Gunners have a long list of injuries going into this game and most of the players who are sidelined are defenders.

Kieran Tierney dislocated a shoulder two weeks ago and the club have confirmed that he will be sidelined for around three months.

Sead Kolasinac was the natural replacement for Tierney at left-back last weekend vs Man City but he took picked up a knee injury and now remains a doubt for this weekend’s clash vs Everton.

If Kolasinac cannot make himself fit for the Goodison Park game then Arsenal will be in real trouble and it will have to be Calum Chambers who has to play at left-back.

Also, Chambers and Sokratis played in central defence vs City last weekend but if the former has to shift places then David Luiz is expected to come into the side to play alongside Sokratis.

Hector Bellerin too missed the City game with a hamstring injury and is now fighting hard to make himself fit for the Everton game.

It’s still unsure whether Bellerin will be available for selection – if not then it will be Maitland Niles who plays as the right-back.

Granit Xhaka missed the City game due to a head injury as the club confirmed that normal concussion procedures were being followed. But the Swiss international should be fit enough to play in midfield this weekend at Goodison Park.

With Xhaka coming in, Lucas Torreira is expected to move to the bench as Matteo Guendouzi keeps his place in the first XI.

It was Aubameyang who played upfront vs Man City last weekend meaning Lacazette had to remain an unused substitute but we feel the Frenchman will come back into the starting XI vs Everton.

This would mean that the Gabon international moves back to the wings to replace youngster Gabriel Martinelli who got to start vs Man City.

Arsenal’s predicted XI vs Everton:

Starting XI: Bernd Leno; Maitland-Niles, David Luiz, Sokratis, Kolasinac/Chambers; Granit Xhaka, Matteo Guendouzi, Mesut Ozil; Nicolas Pepe, Aubameyang, Lacazette.
