Arsenal did a lot of good work during the summer, both in the training grounds as well as in the market and their hard work was repaid by the players with a commanding win over Crystal Palace last weekend.

The Gunners are currently third on the Premier League table and next up, they will take on Leicester City at the Emirates Stadium.

The Foxes go into this match unbeaten in six away games but the historic data is on Arsenal’s side as they are unbeaten in their previous three meetings vs Rodgers’ men. Also, Brendan Rodgers’ men managed only a draw the previous weekend.

The North London side played some really nice football against Palace and the early signs are suggesting they will be one of the favourites to finish in the top four next May. However, they will need to back their fine performance from gameweek one with a win on Saturday as well.

Arsenal’s team news vs Leicester City:

Tomiyasu missed the Palace game due to an injury which is why Ben White played as the right-back. This weekend, Tomiyasu will come back so Mikel Arteta has a decision to make.

William Saliba had a superb game last time around so it will be really unfair to drop him to the bench but the manager will have to sacrifice one of his centre-backs.

Purely based on the first game’s performance Saliba and Gabriel should be the ones to pair up in central defence. There’s also a chance that Mikel Arteta sticks with the same backline – keeping Tomiyasu on the bench.

Summer signing Fabio Vieira is still out injured meaning Granit Xhaka and Thomas Partey will hold onto their places in the side.

Bukayo Saka did not have the best of games against Palace but there’s no way the Arsenal manager will push him to the bench and bring in someone like Nicolas Pepe.

Gabriel Jesus has adjusted very quickly to his Arsenal surrounding so he’s a guaranteed starter as well. This means the Gunners forward line is not expected to change on Saturday – barring any late injuries.

Arsenal predicted line up vs Leicester City:

Predicted Starting Line up(4-2-3-1): Ramsdale; Ben White/Tomiyasu, William Saliba, Gabriel, Zinchenko; Partey, Granit Xhaka; Odegaard, Martinelli, Saka; Gabriel Jesus.
