Arsenal picked up a superb 4-2 win over Chelsea on Wednesday and with this result, they have once again gained momentum in the Premier League top-four race.

The Gunners are currently fifth on the table, tied on points with Spurs who are ahead just on goal difference. Arsenal do have a game in hand though and next up, they will face Manchester United at the Emirates.

The North London will be the favourites to pick up a win on Saturday not only because they managed to overpower Chelsea but also because Man United put up a polar opposite display in a 4-0 humiliation at the hands of arch-rivals.

Arsenal might be without some important players this weekend but they have a very good result when playing at home this season. Man United are scraping the bottom in terms of their performances so if the Gunners can play with the same intensity as they did on Wednesday then this one should be an easy win for Mikel Arteta’s side.

Arsenal team news vs Man United:

DEFENCE:

Ben White, Holding and Gabriel all played in central defence against Chelsea but Rob Holding will drop to the bench on Saturday.

Nuno Tavares was one of the weak links in defence at the Bridge but since Kieran Tierney is ruled out for the remainder of the season, Mikel Arteta has to keep selecting Tavares.

Tomiyasu is nearing a comeback but the right-back might not be fully fit to play against Manchester United, in which case Cedric will take up that role.

MIDFIELD:

Thomas Partey’s absence was not felt in midweek as Elneny came up with a top-class performance.

Elneny has done more than enough to keep his place in the starting line up alongside Granit Xhaka.

The Arsenal would love to rest some players to be able to avoid any injuries but with such a small squad and some major injuries, Mikel Arteta does not have that luxury right now.

ATTACK:

Eddie Nketiah stepped up to the plate, scoring a brace against Chelsea and ideally, he should be getting a start this weekend. The manager though is expected to put his faith in the more experienced Lacazette who came on as a sub vs Chelsea in the 90th minute.

Emile Smith Rowe also scored against the Blues and he too will hold onto this place along with Bukayo Saka.

The Arsenal manager does have the option to bring in Gabriel Martinelli if he wishes to freshen things up but we don’t think Mikel Arteta will walk in that path.

Arsenal predicted line up vs Man United:

Predicted Starting Line up(4-2-3-1): Ramsdale; Gabriel, Ben White, Nuno Tavares, Cedric; Xhaka, Elneny; Bukayo Saka, Smith Rowe, Odegaard; Lacazette.
