Arsenal picked up a hard-fought 0-0 draw against Manchester United in the Premier League at home on Saturday and next up, they hit the road to take on Wolves in midweek.

The Gunners go into this game having lost just one of their last nine matches and that came against the Saints in the FA Cup. On the other hand, Wolves have won just two of their last 10 matches and none of them came in the Premier League.

So clearly, Arsenal are favourites to pick up a win on Tuesday night at Molineux but Mikel Arteta does have a few injury concerns to deal with before the midweek clash.

Even though the Gunners boss has ample back-up for each one of the injured players but he would be eager to get back the services of his regular first-team starters like Aubameyang and Tierney.

Arsenal team news vs Wolves:

Rob Holding and David Luiz have been rock-solid in defence over the past month and a half and the pair will reprise their role in central defence against Wolves.

Pablo Mari is still recovering from his injury and is not expected to be fit in time. Gabriel will only find a place on the bench in midweek.

Kieran Tierney missed the Manchester United game due to a calf injury but chances are he will be back in the match-day squad on Tuesday. If he returns then Cedric Soares will move to the bench.

Thomas and Granit Xhaka have formed a formidable partnership in the middle of the pitch for Arsenal and Arteta will not be too keen to break this up just for the sake of rotation. This means Dani Ceballos will once again find a place on the bench – if he can recover from his injury in time.

Loan signing Martin Odegaard could be handed his first start at Arsenal but we feel Emile Smith Rowe will get the nod ahead of the Norwegian in attacking midfield on Tuesday. The Real Madrid loanee is likely to come on as a sub.

Aubameyang has been away from the first-team squad due to his mother’s ill-health and it’s anybody’s guess as to when he will return. If the Gabon international is not back then Nicolas Pepe will get to play on the left-wing once again.

Bukayo Saka missed the Man United game due to a sore hip but chances are he will be fully fit by Tuesday in which case Gabriel Martinelli will drop to the bench.

Lacazette has been doing great work up front for Arsenal and the Frenchman is surely going to keep his place against Wolves, especially if Aubameyang is not back.

Arsenal’s predicted line-up vs Wolves:

Predicted Line-up: Bernd Leno; Holding, Luiz, Tierney/Cedric, Bellerin; Xhaka, Thomas Partey, Smith Rowe/Odegaard; Aubameyang/Nicolas Pepe, Saka/Gabriel Martinelli, Lacazette.
