4-3-3 Arsenal’s predicted line up vs Wolves: Will Arteta rest most of his players?

Arsenal EPL Emirates

Arsenal will take on Wolves in their final match this season and Mikel Arteta’s men will want to end this disappointing campaign with a positive result.

The Gunners were the favourites to win the Premier League title even a few weeks ago but they stumbled on the final hurdle, allowing Manchester City to jump over them and lift the trophy.

Arsenal have secured the second position on the table but because this match will be played in front of their home ground, the players will be eager to pick up a commanding win.

Wolves are winless in their previous seven away matches but all these results won’t matter because they have avoided relegation and are currently 13th on the table. Julen Lopetegui has done a wonderful job and if his side can get one over Arsenal this weekend then it will be the cherry on the cake for their fans.

Arsenal’s team news and injuries:

William Saliba’s injury was where the downfall started for the Gunners and the defender will only return next season. His lower back injury has taken much longer to heal than originally expected and in his absence, it’s Kiwior who’s partnering Gabriel.

Zinchenko is also out injured with a calf injury which means Kieran Tierney will start on the left-hand side of defence.

Granit Xhaka is going to play his final game as an Arsenal player but it will be interesting to see if Mikel Arteta names Jorginho or Partey beside him. In the previous match, the Arsenal boss used Jorginho in midfield while Partey played as the right-back.

Partey has been linked with a summer exit and this could force Arteta to keep using Jorginho as his primary central midfielder.

Gabriel Martinelli is another player who is unavailable with an injury and the youngster’s absence will allow Leandro Trossard to come into the starting line up.

Bukayo Saka has just signed a new five-year contract with the club so he is a definite starter.

Arsenal have lost only six league games this season and out of these six, three have come in their previous five outings. They have nothing left to play for other than their pride plus they will want to finish as close to Manchester City as possible.

Arsenal predicted line up vs Wolves:

Predicted starting line up(4-3-3): Ramsdale; White, Kiwior, Gabriel, Kieran Tierney; Jorginho/Partey, Odegaard, Granit Xhaka; Saka, Jesus, Trossard.
