4-3-3 Arsenal’s predicted lineup vs Man United – FA Cup: Will Gabriel Jesus get a start?

Just as we enter the second half of the season, Arsenal have started crumbling yet again because last weekend they were held to a draw in the Premier League by Brighton and then in midweek, they were knocked out of the Carabao Cup by Newcastle United.

Now, with this dented confidence the Gunners are set to welcome Manchester United in the 3rd Round of the FA Cup.

United will travel to North London having picked up a draw at Anfield last Sunday which means Mikel Arteta and his boys will have to be at their absolute best or else they will be knocked out of the FA Cup as well. Before these two unfavourable results Arsenal were on a run of 13 matches without a defeat and if they can find their rhythm early on, the home side will very much be the favourites to progress to the next round.

Arsenal’s team news and injuries for the FA Cup:

Mikel Arteta will be without four injured first-team players and amongst them, Bukayo Saka will be the biggest miss on Sunday. Saka is ruled out until the end of February with a hamstring injury and the Englishman’s absence has been massively visible.

He’s scored 9 and assisted 13 goals in 24 appearances this season but now that he is missing, Arsenal look toothless in attack all of a sudden.

Leandro Trossard played on the right flank in midweek but we think Gabriel Jesus will come into the side on Sunday, replacing Trossard. The lack of attacking options means the manager won’t be able to rest or rotate either Martinelli or Kai Havertz.

Raheem Sterling can also come in and play on the right-hand side but the ex-Chelsea man has featured in only 11 games for Arsenal this season and almost all of them have been off the bench.

Zinchenko should also come into the starting lineup for Arsenal replacing 18-year-old Lewis-Skelly at left-back. Ben White’s injury means Jurrien Timber will continue at right-back.

Jorginho and Mikel Merino are the like-for-like replacements for Thomas Partey but there’s no way the Arsenal manager will risk benching the experienced Partey against Manchester United.

Arsenal predicted lineup vs Man United – FA Cup:

Goalkeeper: David Raya.

Defenders: William Saliba, Gabriel, Zinchenko, Jurrien Timber.

Midfielders: Thomas Partey, Odegaard, Declan Rice.

Attackers: Gabriel Jesus, Martinelli, Kai Havertz.
