Arsenal dropped points once again in the English Premier League, this time drawing a home game against Southampton.

The Gunners played the last 30-odd minutes with 10 men after Gabriel was shown a red card and this draw means Mikel Arteta’s side have failed to win their last six league matches.

Arsenal are undefeated in 25 of their last 28 matches against Everton in all competitions but with the kind of form they are in right now, the North London side will be going into this weekend’s game as the clear underdogs.

Once again, Mikel Arteta has several absentees meaning he will have to make a change to his formation – possibly opting for a three-man back-line.

Arsenal team news vs Everton:

Gabriel is suspended due to his red card but thankfully David Luiz has made a comeback from injury so he will start in central defence alongside Holding and possibly Kieran Tierney.

Hector Bellerin is also available for selection but some pundits think the right-back will not return to the starting XI as Ainsley Maitland-Niles put in a fine shift against Southampton in midweek.

Granit Xhaka is also suspended for this weekend’s game meaning Dani Ceballos will partner Elneny in central midfield.

Aubameyang finally ended his barren run as he scored Arsenal’s only goal against the Saints in midweek. He will remain on the pitch vs Everton but Lacazette is once again expected to be out of the first XI as Eddie Nketiah keeps his place.

Nicolas Pepe was underwhelming yet again, playing on the right-wing but Willian has not been in the best of forms either which is why the former Chelsea man is not expected to start on Saturday.

The noose is tightening around Arteta’s neck and if Arsenal slump to yet another loss in the Premier League this weekend then surely the Gunners management will start hunting for a replacement.

Arsenal’s predicted line-up vs Everton:

Starting XI: Bernd Leno; Luiz, Tierney, Rob Holding; Elneny, Maitland-Niles, Bukayo Saka, Dani Ceballos; Lacazette/Nketiah, Pepe/Willian, Aubameyang.
