Alexandre Lacazette - Arsenal

Arsenal are finding it really hard to gather a consistent rhythm under Mikel Arteta this season and so far, the Gunners have dropped points in 19 Premier League matches.

Their latest draw came against Fulham last weekend when the relegation battling side held Arsenal to a 1-1 draw, thereby forcing the Gunners to remain ninth on the league table.

Next up, Arsenal will face Everton and this will be another uphill task for Mikel Arteta’s side, especially since the manager will be without some of his key first-team players on Friday.

The first big miss will be Alexandre Lacazette, a player who has been in top form for Arsenal in their past couple of matches. The Frenchman has picked up a hamstring injury and the club have hinted that he might be out for a couple of weeks.

The clubs have confirmed: “Alex has sustained a strain to his left hamstring and will be unavailable for Friday’s match against Everton. He will continue to work with the medical team and will be assessed ahead of next week’s matches.”

Martin Odegaard is still struggling to completely recover from his ankle injury and this week, the playmaker has just returned to light training so he might not be available for selection against the Toffees.

The clubs added: “Martin is now back in light training and will be assessed ahead of the Everton match regarding his availability.”

Aubameyang is still recovering from malaria and he is only expected to return to training by the end of this week.

The official statement revealed: “Auba continues to recover after contracting malaria on international duty. Auba will be unavailable for Friday’s match against Everton, but is hoping to resume light training by the end of this week.”

Here are the other injury absentees, as confirmed by Arsenal FC:

David Luiz
Right knee. David is making very good progress and is hoping to integrate back into light training with the squad next week.

Kieran Tierney
Left knee. Kieran sustained ligament damage to his left knee during the match against Liverpool on April 3. Kieran continues to make positive progress and is hoping to be back in training within two to three weeks.
