Arsenal want N'Dicka Eintracht Frankfurt
Eintracht Frankfurt

Premier League sides Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur have been keeping tabs on Frankfurt defender Evan N’Dicka and there’s a big chance that they will try and sign him during the summer transfer window.

Evan N’Dicka has two years left on his current deal with the German side which is why the two North London sides were pretty hopeful of landing him at the end of this season.

But according to the latest reports, Frankfurt have convinced Evan N’Dicka to sign a new deal at the club and once it goes through, this will extend his stay beyond the summer of 2023.

HITC cites Bild saying: “Reported Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal target Evan N’Dicka is set to sign a new contract with Eintracht Frankfurt – albeit with a £23 million release clause included, as reported by BILD.

“They won’t stand in N’Dicka’s way if the talented centre-back wants to become the latest Frankfurt star to leave the Commerzbank Arena for a bonafide European giant, following in the footsteps of Ante Rebic and Luka Jovic.

“According to BILD, N’Dicka is expected to extend his current contract beyond 2023, his fine performances rewarded with a sizeable pay rise”

This new development will surely be a bit of a shocker for Arsenal and Spurs but Bild also go on to claim that Frankfurt have no real intention of keeping Evan N’Dicka at the club for a significant amount of time.

In fact, they have just pushed for a new contract so as to ensure that one of their biggest assets does not leave the club for a cut-price deal in the summer.

The centre-back has played in 16 games this season, scoring two and assisting one goal and he will be a great addition to either one of the two Premier League sides next season.

Arsenal have a plethora of centre-backs in the side right now but a number of them are expected to be sold in the summer making ample room for Evan N’Dicka to come in and settle down.

Jose Mourinho is also in the hunt for a new centre-back since the manager cannot afford to keep using Eric Dier in central defence for much longer.

£23 million for an English Premier League side is not a steep price at all so there’s a big chance that the 21-year-old could be playing for either Arsenal or Spurs next season.
