Mesut Ozil Arsenal team news

Arsenal have not dropped points in their last five matches and hopefully, they will not lose their next game when they take on Sheffield United at Bramall Lane on Monday.

Unai Emery’s men made a wobbly start to their new campaign but they have managed to steady their ship and right now they are third on the league table with fifteen points.

Sheffield United, on the other hand, have won just two out of their first 8 matches in the Premier League and have managed to pick up just nine points so far.

While the atmosphere at Bramall Lane could be a daunting scene but with almost a fully fit squad at his disposal, the Gunners boss is expected to name his best XI and they should bring home all three points.

Arsenal team news vs Sheffield United:

Sokratis and David Luiz played in central defence during Arsenal’s last game vs Bournemouth but the Greek defender is expected to be rested at Bramall Lane.

Rob Holding has returned back to full fitness and the youngster should partner David Luiz in defence.

Kolasinac and Callum Chambers played at the full-back roles vs the Cherries but with Bellerin and Tierney both available for selection, the recently recovered pair should be named in the first XI on Monday.

Guendouzi and Granit Xhaka has been a formidable pair in central midfield for Arsenal and Emery would not want to tinker with them when they visit Bramall Lane.

Bukayo Saka played down the left-flank vs Bournemouth and he should retain his place in the first XI while Nicolas Pepe plays down the other flank.

Mesut Ozil has fallen out of favour this season which means Danny Ceballos will play as the attacking midfielder just behind the main striker.

Alexandre Lacazette has so far missed seven games due to an ankle injury and he is still a few weeks away from reaching full fitness.

This means Pierre Emerick Aubameyang will play as upfront as the lone striker.

Apart from Lacazette, the only two other injury absentees for Unai Emery are Riess Nelson who is suffering from a knee injury and Emile Smith Rowe who is recovering from a head injury.
