Arsenal have spent over £100 million in the transfer market this summer but Mikel Arteta has admitted that they have no plans of stopping.

The Gunners have signed the likes of Gabriel Jesus, Zinchenko, Marquinhos, Matt Turner and Fabio Vieira but they still have to plug several holes in the squad.

The Arsenal manager has admitted that while he is happy with the new arrivals but the club is still looking to acquire a few more players.

“We are completing what we planned,” Arteta said, as quoted. “There are still a few things we’d like to do, ins and outs, and that will be determined by the possibilities that are on the market.

“We know where we’re going to end up at the end of this window, and hopefully we can make it work.

“We still have some players that are in contention to stay or go, and if we have news we will communicate it.”

How many more players are Arsenal looking to sign?

The priority for Arsenal right now is to sign a new central midfielder and if reports are to be believed then Youri Tielemans is going to be that man.

Midfielder Lucas Paquetá has also been linked with the Gunners so Arsenal will surely bring in a new midfielder before the new season begins.

Mikel Arteta is also keen to sign another centre-forward to add more depth to the attacking department which is why they are keeping tabs on players like Serge Gnabry.

So far, the Gunners have done very well to rebuild their squad but they still need a few more players to be able to build a stable team who can challenge for the top-four spot.

The new signings are already showing a lot of cohesiveness during their pre-season matches but they will have to make sure they can carry this form into the new EPL season which starts in a fortnight.
