Arsenal have been clearing out all the deadwood in the previous year and most of the unwanted forwards have now left the club. Aubameyang left in January, Lacazette left earlier this week and Nicolas Pepe is also expected to be sold in the coming months.

The Gunners have managed to tie down Eddie Nketiah to a new deal but the youngster will surely not lead the line next season so Mikel Arteta has to sign a few forwards before the 22/23 season kicks off.

Arsenal have missed out on Champions League football so several of the big-name players will shy away from joining them but the North London side are still being linked with a plethora of wingers and centre-forwards.

Most of these deals will fall flat on their face for one reason or another but some of them should be able to see the light of the day before deadline day comes around which is why we decided to look at which players are the most likely to join Arsenal.

List of forwards being linked with Arsenal:

Dominic Calvert- Lewin

DCL might be put up for sale because Everton need to rebuild their squad and for that, they will need money. They also have Richarlison and according to the reports, the Toffees will only sell one of them.

If Calvert-Lewin is indeed put up for sale then Arsenal have a very good chance to sign him. After Everton’s poor season, joining Arsenal will definitely be a step up for the English forward and at the Emirates Stadium, he will also be able to play in the Europa League next season.

Lautaro Martinez

Martinez is another player who could be sold due to his parent club’s financial woes even though the forward has expressed that he is more than happy at Inter and wants to remain at the club next season.

Inter need to balance their books so a sale is very much imaginable but Arsenal are not the only one interested in Lautaro because Chelsea and Tottenham have also been linked with him.

Darwin Nunez

Nunez was one of the first summer targets for Arsenal but Benfica’s transfer demands seem to have drowned Arteta’s interest in the striker.

Also, the forward wants to play in the Champions League so a move to the Gunners looks highly unlikely.

Tammy Abraham

The ex-Chelsea man has had a stellar season with AS Roma and several rumours have claimed that he might come back to the Premier League.

Mourinho has admitted that he will allow Abraham to leave but the forward has reportedly rejected a return to England because he’s very much happy at Roma. Also, if he does wish to come back then Chelsea will be a much more realistic destination than Arsenal.

Richarlison

Either Calvert-Lewin and Richarlison will be allowed to leave in the summer and the Brazilian has himself hinted at a possible exit.

However, Arsenal are not the only ones interested in Richarlison but given Everton’s need, the 25-year-old can turn out to be a very realistic target for Mikel Arteta.

Raheem Sterling

Sterling is another player who has been mentioned in Arsenal’s transfer wishlist but we seriously don’t think Pep Guardiola will agree to let him leave.

This is by far the most utopian target for the Gunners because instead of leaving, we expect him to put pen on paper to a new deal in the coming months.

Gabriel Jesus

Gabriel Jesus has told Manchester City that he does not want to sign a new deal as wants to leave in the summer and Arsenal are currently the favourites to land him.

The Gunners are chasing him frantically and as soon as Guardiola sanctions a deal, we expect Jesus to join Arsenal. He is one target who is the most likely to arrive at the Emirates Stadium.
