Arsenal plotting a raid for Wilfred Zaha

As the Premier League season is coming to a close and Arsenal has been linked with a few players. Wenger could see a few high profile players leave him in the summer. And he will definitely want to bring in players who can fill the void.

According to The Sun, Arsene Wenger has joined the race to sign Wilfried Zaha from Crystal Palace.

Tottenham Hotspur has already shown interest in signing the Ivorian. And if reports are to be believed then Arsenal are also planning a bid somewhere in the region of 30 million pounds. Wenger has been really impressed with Zaha’s performance during the season as he has made some useful contributions to Crystal Palace.

Zaha has been a pivotal part of Palace’s squad this season.

Wenger could also offer both Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Carl Jenkinson as a part of the swap deal to bring Zaha to the Emirates.

Having signed for Man Utd, Zaha eventually returned to Palace.

Wilfried Zaha has had a rather unusual career graph. He burst onto the scene with Crystal Palace and Manchester United wasted no time in signing him up. But things didn’t quite work out for him at Old Trafford and he was subsequently loaned back to Palace and also Cardiff City. Eventually, he returned back to his original club Crystal Palace and has been playing there ever since.

But Wenger certainly believes that Zaha, 24, has a lot of potential and can fit perfectly into his system at Arsenal.
