Arsenal could cement their top-four spot when they take on AFC Bournemouth in the Premier League this Wednesday.

The Gunners are currently fourth on the league table – one point clear of Manchester United and Emery will be looking to pick up three easy points vs the Cherries.

Arsenal seem to have gotten they sync back on the pitch but the manager could be forced to make a few changes to his first XI thanks to injuries.

Emery had confirmed earlier this week that he is planning on player rotations for the next couple of games but it looks like the changes will be more of a necessity rather than a luxury.

The likes of Hector Bellerin and Rob Holding remain long-term absentees and are not expected to return anytime soon.

Danny Welbeck has returned back to light training but the England international is still some time away from reaching full fitness.

Alex Iwobi picked up a knock against Southampton during the weekend and the club have confirmed that the forward will have to go through a late fitness test on Wednesday.

The same applies to Lichtsteiner who had to be taken off with a back issue on Sunday.

Reports claim that the duo should make themselves fit in time for Wednesday’s encounter but Emery is expected to not risk them.

Maitland-Niles who was suffering from an illness has returned back to full training and should be chosen as the right-back on Wednesday while Alex Iwobi is expected to make way for Aubameyang who started the game vs the Saints on the bench.

Mesut Ozil is once again expected to be snubbed while January signing Denis Suarez might have to wait for one more game before he gets his first start for the Gunners.
