Arsenal take on Manchester United in the EPL at home this weekend and the Gunners are likely to see the return of a few key first-team players.

Aubameyang remains absent due to personal reasons and speaking to the press, manager Mikel Arteta has admitted that he’s not sure if the Gabon international will face Man United on Saturday.

He told the press, as per Arsenal.com: “I don’t know. I spoke with him yesterday and things are looking better at the moment but we’re going to have to wait and see.”

Apart from this one major doubt, things are otherwise starting to look brighter for the Gunners with Kieran Tierney and Dani Ceballos both returning to training in midweek.

Tierney missed the EPL game vs Southampton on Tuesday with an injury to the right leg but as per Football London, the left-back has reported back to training.

George Smith wrote for Football London: “The former Celtic man, who has been so key in the Gunners’ recent revival, was unable to play any part against the Saints because of a tight calf problem.

“However, he was spotted participating in training on Wednesday by the Gunners’ cameras, suggesting that he should be available to make a return against Manchester United.”

Dani Ceballos was another player who had been recovering from a calf injury and had missed the previous two matches for Arsenal. As per Football London, he too joined the training session on Wednesday.

Kieran Tierney looks fully fit meaning he will return to the starting line-up on Saturday vs Manchester United but the same cannot be said for Ceballos since Thomas Partey and Granit Xhaka have done a really great job in central midfield.

Also, with Emile Smith Rowe playing so wonderfully and the now the arrival of Martin Odegaard, Ceballos should only be good enough to get a place on the bench this weekend.
