The Premier League top-four race is still wide open and the Arsenal vs Man United tie this weekend could have a lot of ramifications in deciding the fate of several teams.

Manchester United suffered a 4-0 loss at the hands of Liverpool on Tuesday night and just 24 hours after this match, Arsenal beat Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, thereby coming level on points with fourth-placed Tottenham Hotspur.

These two sets of results mean if Arsenal can beat Man United on Saturday then the Gunners will be in the driver’s seat to secure that final Champions League position on the league table.

Man United, on the other hand, clearly do not deserve to be in Europe anytime soon but on paper, they are still in the top-four race. A win at the Emirates could boost their chances yet again.

Arsenal vs Man United injury news:

Arsenal updates:

The Gunners missed three crucial players against Chelsea and these same players will be absent for the Arsenal vs Man United game as well.

Kieran Tierney is ruled out for the rest of the season while midfielder Thomas Partey will come back some time next month.

Takehiro Tomiyasu has almost recovered from a calf injury but since he’s just returned to training, there’s a question mark over his participation on Saturday.

Manchester United news:

Ralf Rangnick will have a nightmare naming a strong side at the Emirates because he has close to half-a-dozen injuries.

Paul Pogba became the latest addition to this list after he picked up a muscle injury during the Liverpool game on Tuesday. This means Fred and now Pogba are both sidelined with injuries.

Raphael Varane has been out with an injury but the Frenchman is expected to make a comeback in the Arsenal vs Man United match.

Cristiano Ronaldo was given time off after the passing away of his newborn son but since he’s returned to full training, there’s a chance he will be playing against Arsenal.

Edinson Cavani and Luke Shaw are the other two Man United players who will be missing this weekend.
