Arsenal will lose Aaron Ramsey during the summer as the midfielder has agreed to join Juventus.

And it looks like Gunners boss Unai Emery wants Joan Jordan to replace the Welsh international.

Now immediately the first question that would pop into almost everyone’s mind is who exactly is Joan Jordan and can this man actually become a long-term replacement for Ramsey?

Well, the 24-year-old currently plays for Spanish club Eibar having joined them from Espanyol in the summer of 2017.

Joan Jordan is primarily a central midfielder but can also play in a more advanced role and this season, the 24-year-old has scored three goals and provided four assists in 27 league games for Eibar.

If we were to be very blunt then no, Joan Jordan right now does not have the potential to replace Aaron Ramsey. But then Unai Emery does not have any other option.

Reports have it that the Arsenal boss will get a very small transfer budget which means, Emery will have to rely mostly on these types of bargain signings to come good next season.

Joan Jordan is under contract with Eibar until 2020 and as per TransferMarkt, he is only valued at 10 million euros.

This is certainly a very feasible amount to spend and if the midfielder can come good then surely Unai Emery will be in for a lot of praise.

As per reports, Arsenal have been keeping tabs on Joan Jordan for some time now and they are expected to make a move at the end of the season.

Aaron Ramsey is moving to Juventus on a free transfer which means any replacement which comes in will cut directly into Unai Emery’s transfer budget for the summer.

So in such a scenario, a 10 million euro deal for Joan Jordan looks perfectly reasonable and sensible.
