Adam Lallana had recently hinted that he could move out of Liverpool at the end of the current season in search of regular game time and a new challenge.

The midfielder is out of contract at Anfield at the end of the current season and chances are that he will leave the club as a free agent with clubs like West Ham, Spurs and even Arsenal interested in signing the 31-year-old.

“Whatever my contract situation is that will be going on in the background,” he said last month.

“There’s not a chance that that will affect my commitment to this club.

“I’ve given 110% throughout my Liverpool career I will continue to do so. Whether that finishes at the end of the season or continues, this is a great squad and I couldn’t be enjoying my football any more.”

Arsenal remain one of the interested clubs in signing Adam Lallana given that he will cost little to nothing during the summer transfer window but according to Nigel Winterburn, Mikel Arteta and co should think long and hard before making a move for the England international.

“Lallana is a player I like but he has had so many injuries problems,” Winterburn said, as reported.

“When you’re looking to bring players in for the first team or even the squad, you have to be careful.”

This season Adam Lallana has played just 13 league matches for Liverpool and the player has a long history of injury problems.

But the good news for all the interested clubs, including Arsenal is that his last major injury came way back in 2018 and since then he has managed to mostly been injury-free.

Apart from Arsenal, Spurs too have shown a keen interest in signing Lallana meaning even if the Gunners back out, the midfielder will have no shortage of takers.
