Arsenal have managed to get their act together with three consecutive wins in the Premier League and they’ll be hoping to keep that run going as they take on Crystal Palace at home.

The Gunners had hit a rough patch over the last few months, dropping unnecessary points against relatively weaker opponents. But the nine points from their previous three matches mean they are once again back in the hunt for a top-four finish.

Arsenal take on Palace at home, following which they welcome Newcastle United on Monday night and according to manager Mikel Arteta, these two games could shape up the rest of the season for them.

He said, as quoted: “We’ve got two at home right now that are going to be key for the future of our season in the Premier League and the team is in great spirits.

“I think the next two games are crucial to see the direction that we are taking and to reinforce all the things that we have improved on and the results that we are having recently,

“There’s a lot of games coming up now, some important ones as well. We need to get our home form established. We’ve had some issues there and now it’s time to get some wins.

“We’ve got two at home right now that are going to be key for the future of our season in the Premier League and the team is in great spirits. Obviously, after four wins everything looks better.”

After the Magpies game, Arsenal face teams like Southampton, Villa, Man United and Wolves within a span of just 10 days so there’s every possibility of points being dropped.

But if the North London side can manage to pick up two more wins by the end of the next week then they will not only go into these games with a lot of confidence but will also be breathing down the necks of Spurs and Chelsea.
