Arsene Wenger is confident that Sanchez will not sign a new deal and will move out of the club – this transfer window or the next. So the Frenchman is out in the market looking for a replacement to the Chilean.

And according to a report in Abola, Wenger might just have found his man. The report suggests that the Gunners boss is keen on signing attacking midfielder Yacine Brahimi from FC Porto. The 27-year-old is a technically gifted player who can play in various positions in the attacking third. Brahimi can play on either wing and can also play as a No 10 behind the main striker.

The Algerian International has already played 14 games this season for Porto – scoring 4 goals in the process and it seems as if Wenger is pretty impressed with the player. If Wenger can manage to get Arsenal back into the Champions League then Brahimi will certainly be a great addition to the squad.

The player’s situation at Porto is quite similar to that of Sanchez in Arsenal. Brahimi has just over a year left on his current contract with FC Porto and the Portuguese outfit is willing to cash in on him next summer rather than lose him for free.

The report suggests that Wenger will have to shell out somewhere in the region of £18 million for the attacking midfielder. The Gunners boss is not too keen on making a hasty decision and is reportedly also looking at the likes of Wilfried Zaha and Lyon’s Nabil Fekir as potential replacements for Alexis Sanchez.
