Chelsea are all but ready to show the door to their current manager Antonio Conte but that announced is still being held back by the Stamford Bridge outfit until they find a suitable replacement.

For a couple of weeks now, it was assumed that Italian manager Maurizio Sarri would take the reigns over from Antonio Conte but now reports are suggesting that talks with Sarri have broken down and Chelsea are looking for other viable options.

We take a look at the top 3 managers who have now become the favourites to replace Antonio Conte as the new Chelsea manager.

1. Slavisa Jokanovic:

Reports suggest that Chelsea are in talks with current Fulham manager Slavisa Jokanovic as bringing Sarri to Stamford Bridge is proving too difficult due to his contractual issues with Napoli.

Slavisa took charge of Fulham back in 2015 and this season the club have been successful in gaining promotion to the Premier League after winning the Championship League playoffs.

The 49-year-old manager though is not new to the scenes at Chelsea having played 39 games for the West London club from 2000 until 2002.

2. Laurent Blanc:

From PSG manager Laurent Blanc is the second name on the list and this new is filtering out of the bookmakers.

According to bookmakers Betway, the bets on Sarri have dried up and now it is Laurent Blanc who has turned out to be the new favourite.

Betway’s Alan Alger said: “Bets on Maurizio Sarri, who was as short as 1/6 to be Chelsea’s next manager, have dried up and the Italian has been leapfrogged at the head of the betting by Laurent Blanc.

“Blanc, 25/1 just a few weeks ago and still available at 11/4 on Sunday night, has been the name on almost every bet slip today and the Frenchman is now even-money to replace Antonio Conte in the Chelsea hot-seat.”

3. Luis Enrique:

Luis Enrique was the first choice to replace Antonio Conte as the new Chelsea manager but those quickly crumbled after the former Barcelona manager’s high wage demands which Roman Abramovich was unwilling to meet.

Now though it seems that Enrique who has been jobless since parting ways with Barcelona has agreed to compromise on some of his demands in order to take up the job at Stamford Bridge.

Having said that though, his wage demands are still higher than the other candidates that Chelsea have shortlisted.
